This week, Matt is joined by historian, author and Marine Corps Veteran Joe Muccia. You may also remember him from our live Zoom events in the past. Being the official Easy Company Historian for the Band of Brothers Family Foundation, Joe is incredibly knowledgeable. He served in a variety of headquarters, communication, infantry and force reconnaissance units in a career spanning 20 years. He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 where he was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Award with Combat Distinguishing Device, the Combat Action Ribbon and a Presidential Unit Citation. In the upcoming weeks, we will be having a number of episodes with Joe discussing the journey of Easy Company 2nd Battalion 506th PIR 101st Airborne Division from training through to the end of World War II. On this second episode of our new series we focus on Easy Company in Normandy along with some myth busting to tell you what really happened from what may have been different on screen in Band of Brothers®.
