79TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY
Operation Overlord of June 6, 1944, brought together the land, air and sea forces of the allied armies in what became known as the largest invasion force in human history. On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of D-Day we marched in the footsteps of Easy Company and other units with WW2TV Paul Woodadge as our guide on 3 & 4 June 2023.
THE SIEGE OF BASTOGNE
The Siege of Bastogne was focused on what happened oustside of Bastogne during the Ardennes Offensive. Together with our tour guide Reg Jans, we visited the locations where the men of a number of U.S. Divisions had fought during the cold winter of 1944. Furthermore, we heard more about the German Forces and their situation during the battle on our tour in January 2023.
