PRESERVING THE LEGACY

We Happy Few 506 was established in 2021 by Band of Brothers® actor Matthew Leitch and Leighton Hughes. Joining them in 2023 was Carsten Krikorka, who volunteers as Executive Assistant and Tour Manager. The mission of We Happy Few 506 is to play a small role in preserving the legacy of Band of Brothers® and continue to pass on the history of World War II, commemorate the veterans who served and to create a community and family for like-minded people.

UPCOMING BATTLEFIELD 

TOUR 2024

 

Our third Battle of the Bulge Tour was concluded at the end of January 2024. The touring community keeps growing and your positive feedback motivates us to bring you even more exclusive events. In September 2024, on our next tour, we will visit several locations in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, to explore the history of the 8th Air Force and the stories it inspired for some of our favourite World War Two movies and television shows such as Memphis Belle (movie and documentary), Twelve O'Clock High (movie and television show), Combat America and Masters of the Air®. BATTLE OF THE BULGE 

TOUR BOOK 2024

 

We are happy to announce that we will publish our very first tour book soon. The idea goes back to our team member Carsten, he will also be the person in charge composing the book. You can expect many extraordinary high class photos from our official photographer Stuart Bertie to be featured, as well as notes about the sites we visited during our first Battlefield Tour of 2024. There is no official release date yet, but you can expect the book being available for pre-order in May 2024. All sale profits will be donated to the U.S. Memorial Wereth VoG in the name of We Happy Few 506. 

U.S. MEMORIAL WERETH ORGANIZATION

 

The U.S. Memorial Wereth in Belgium commemorates the eleven black G.I.s of the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion who were murdered by German Soldiers after they had surrendered. The U.S. Memorial Wereth VoG is a non-profit organization founded by private citizens. all volunteers. Their goal is to sustain a permanent memorial to honor and remember the Wereth 11.
